How it works

Learning to ride and to care.

Before entering the arena, each pupil tacks up their pony or horse; afterwards they untack and look after it. That's how you really learn.

What lessons are like

Lessons of 50 to 55 minutes in groups of 6 or 7 pupils at most, grouped by level. We work with clear goals so every pupil gains independence in the saddle.

What they learn

  • Tacking up, untacking and caring for ponies and horses
  • Discovering and enjoying the sport through goals
  • Gaining independence in the saddle
  • Sitting the Gallop 1 to 7 exams
  • Taking part in outside activities and competing, if they wish

Disciplines

As they progress, pupils work on show jumping, dressage, eventing and mounted games. Competing is optional: those who want to can enter club, regional and national shows.
